life lately!

Hello, World Wide Web Family!

It's been nearly three months since I've shared much here. It's been a wild summer to say the least. I hope it's been the same for you! Here's what I've been up to...

June was like a baby flower growing at its own pace. Or slow, for those of you who don't like metaphors. I went out for a walk one Sunday afternoon with an intention to fit in a solid three miles before I settled in to make dinner. I made it a half of a mile before tripping off of a curb and fracturing my ankle. (Yes, I started telling people I was in a epic four-wheeler accident... just kidding. I only did that once. But it was worth the face the girl made after I told her.)

I rocked the boot at a wedding with some of my best friends. I ditched the heel for a hot pink Nike Air shoe real quick lemme tell ya!

Funny enough, I finished reading The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry by John Mark Comer just before the whole ankle situation happened. And despite my fight against a newly adopted slow paced life, I new it was an opportunity to practice eliminating hurry.

Scheduled events were spread out. My walk was slow hobble. Pool days were more frequent. And grocery store runs involved handicap carts.

July was a very pretty thing. As soon as I broke up with the boot, I drove all the way up to Hiawassee and grabbed drinks with my cousin and his girlfriend! Turns out, I like sour ale. (Otherwise, I'm not a big beer gal.) I photographed the engagement of my friend, Noah. It was so so sweet. See for yourself! I went to ANOTHER wedding and rocked the dancefloor, saw a Marvel movie in an actual theater, and caught up with one of my dearest friends, Maura.

Lastly, my brother and I took a sibling trip up north! We did so much in a short period of time, it's crazy! I have more to share specifically about this venture. But until then, here are some of my favorite photos below.
